since I was a licensed pilot now, Ron let me fly the whole flight, which really wasn't the most legal, but he was right there to correct any mistakes, so it was not unsafe in any way. It was a little different than a Cessna 152, but definately a good time. That's the only time I've been ableto fly since I got my license. the drawing is of the RC-135 variant, Cobra Ball. It's main mission is to fly along the coast of another country and record any missle launches that country makes. It has camera's on the right side, so they painterd the right wing black to reduce any glare that the sun might cause. It sounds like a fun job. Unfortunately, there's not much information out there about the RC-135, as just about everything on it and what it does is classified.

Title: Cobra Ball
Medium: Pen and ink
Surface: Paper
Year: 1995
Location: Ron Panting
I gave this picture to a guy in my dad's office while we were at Langley AFB. Were ready to move to the Washington DC area so my dad could learn how to speak Korean. Ron Panting realized that because we were going to leave before him, he wouldn't get a going away picture like everyone else in the office. So he basiaclly commisioned a picture from me. The deal was if I drew him an RC-135, which he flew, he'd give me a ride in a Twin. I said sure. I finished the drawing about the same time I recieved my pilot's license. So, about a week before we moved, and about two days after I got my license, Ron took me and my brother and a couple of good firends up in a Cessna Twin.
